TT15790-170 / TAILOR TOYO Mid 1950s Style Acetate Souvenir Jacket “EAGLE” × “BLUE TIGER”

Since its predecessor “Kosho” days, Tailor Toyo has been crafting sukajan jackets, with past creations now recognized and valued as true “vintage” pieces. Responding to numerous requests from customers, this piece revives a sukajan originally produced by Tailor Toyo in the 1990s—recreated for the first time in nearly 30 years using today’s refined techniques. The eagle embroidery, rendered in a striking orange gradient against a rich wine-colored body, is a masterful work, while the multicolored ribbing brings a sharp sense of balance to the overall design.

The reversible side features a bold “reverse color scheme” body—deep silver sleeves contrasting against a navy torso—showcasing a fiercely roaring blue tiger. Utilizing the lustrous qualities of rayon thread, the embroidery employs intricate variations in stitch length to layer the design, creating depth and shading that vividly depict the tiger’s fur texture and stripes despite being monochromatic. As with the front side, the colorful four-tone ribbing serves as an eye-catching accent.
