On June 19, 1951, Marilyn Monroe was invited to the U.S.S. Benham, a U.S. Navy destroyer, to encourage the sailors as they continued their training.
The ship later made a port call at Sasebo Air Base and has strong ties to Japan.
With this background as a source of ideas, a special skajan was produced to commemorate the 95th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe's birth and the 25th anniversary of Toys McCoy.
The material is rayon satin with no quilting for spring.
The Monroe side is reversible, with a print base and embroidered three-dimensional hair and dragon horns. The skull side is fully embroidered.
