GI trouser belt adopted by the U.S. Army in 1937.
The belt width is 1-1/4 inches, woven as thickly as it was then, and the buckle, painted black on brass, is not a pin-fastening type, but rather bites the entire belt width for a strong grip.
On the back of the belt is marked "U.S. J.Q.M.D." indicating government-issued items, as well as the year and size of adoption.
The M-37, which was issued until the mid-1940s, is available in khaki for the earlier model and olive for the later model, but this is the original Buzz Rickson's black version.
