This L-2A Custom is a test sample featuring Lt. James L. Thompson, a pilot in the 51st Combat Intercept Wing and 39th Combat Intercept Squadron, who was active from WWII to the Korean War.
The back is embroidered with the dragon nose art from the F-86F, the fighter piloted by Lt.
The insignias on both chests are also based on original drawings by Hiroshi Okamoto, founder of TOYS McCOY.
