Polynesian culture has its roots in the history of Native Hawaiians.
The catamaran canoe and the paddle that rows it are the main motifs.
The work was done by John Meigs, a textile designer who has left his mark on the history of aloha shirts.
The names of the Polynesian islands are drawn between the motifs, which is typical of Meigs, who loved the culture and moved to Tahiti himself. Many of his designs are strongly influenced by Polynesian culture.
