Klaxon was founded in 2002 by Yuji Hamamoto and his wife, Keiko. This select shop incorporates the charm of mid-century America to create its own unique fashion world. They have dedicated themselves to selecting and offering high-quality, original items to their customers.

I believe that the good old America of the 1940s to 1960s, representative of the mid-century, was "the most American era America ever was," full of hope and confidence.

Many cultures and scenes reflecting that era, such as cars, motorcycles, fashion, movies, music, and interiors, are full of charm. This longing for mid-century America is the driving force behind Klaxon.

At Klaxon, we select and sell high-quality apparel that captures the fashion scene of those good old days, focusing on materials, sewing, parts, details, and stories.

The true essence of jeans

Jeans that have been worn for many years transform from a negative state, being very stiff and uncomfortable to wear when new, to gradually conforming to the wearer's body, and the dyed indigo begins to fade, creating a unique look that only that individual can achieve.

If 10 people wear the same jeans, there will be 10 different aging processes. While they are very stiff when new, repeated wear makes them a unique companion in the wearer's life.

Yuji Hamamoto was born in 1972 to parents who manufactured denim products in Kojima, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. From an early age, he was exposed to product quality and manufacturing processes at his parents' factory, fostering a passion for jeans. Influenced by American movies and culture, he was captivated by the unique charm of jeans and the beauty of their aging process, leading him to establish "The Strike Gold" in 2007. This brand is the culmination of his passion and expertise in jeans, offering products with unique designs and a commitment to quality.

Leveraging the strength of our local Okayama, a renowned region for high-quality denim fabric, our original denim is created with a unique recipe that spans from cotton selection and spinning to dyeing and weaving. This results in a distinctive texture and captivating aging process that cannot be replicated elsewhere.

Regarding sewing, we use a very difficult and time-consuming manufacturing method to carefully produce our products, allowing for a rich, aged look that develops over years of wear.

The accessory parts used are carefully selected after verifying the aging characteristics of each one, and we create them from scratch whenever possible.

Furthermore, we are constantly researching and testing all of these processes day and night, making continuous updates to achieve "the ideal jeans" envisioned by "The Strike Gold."
