Based on a vintage that was obtained by U.S. soldiers engaged in the Vietnam War from 1968~69 and brought back to the United States.
It is a standard VietJan style with a tiger's face and the word "blessings" embroidered on the chest, a dragon on the sleeve, and a map of Vietnam embroidered on the back.
Colorful embroidery threads are used for the message on the top and bottom of the map, which expresses regret over the war.
The vivid colors have been reproduced from deadstock colors that have not faded over time.
Also, the dragon on the sleeves is usually made of yellow threads, but in this work, it is drawn in a green gradation.
On the cuffs, buttons in the shape of old coins are used, which is rare even in the vintage world.

VIETNAM JACKET
Like the suka-jan that emerged in postwar Japan, the Souvenir jacket, commonly known as the Viet-jan, was born during the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 1970s. Two main types of fabric were used: cotton twill or camouflage-patterned poncho liners, with designs embroidered with matte, thickly colored thread.
