BR15582 / BUZZ RICKSON'S VEST, DECK (REVERSIBLE) DEMOTEX-ED

The so-called Deck Vest, officially named the Waistcoat, Alpaca Lined, was worn by deck crew in the 1940s. Its shape resembles the C-3 sheepskin vest used by the Army Air Forces. Deck crew wore this vest layered for warmth against the cold winds on the deck. Original vests had simple labels showing material and size without military specification labels. This reversible vest, an original design by Buzz Rickson's, can be worn over light jackets or leather jackets for extra insulation.
