1940～50年代に実在した数種類のデッドストックデニムを分析し、当時のクラシカルで味わい深い質感と風合い豊かな経年変化を現代に蘇らせるべく開発されたのが、この“オリジンシリーズ”です。 まだ紡績技術が未熟であった時代の糸は、不純物を含みながらも独特の温かみと表情を持ち、その素朴さこそが当時のデニムの魅力でした。The Strike Goldではその特性を再現するために、綿本来の粗野な繊維感を活かしたネップ糸を使用し、弱テンションで丁寧に織り上げています。 右綾組織特有のしっかりとしたコシと、低速織機による柔らかな膨らみが両立し、穿き込むほどにヴィンテージ特有の立体的なタテ落ちを生み出します。過度な演出を排し、デニム本来の素朴な美しさと経年変化を純粋に楽しめる一本です。
