Everyone has seen the lovable character "Uncle Tris" at least once. Its creator is Ryohei Yanagihara, a master of advertising art. He has fans not only in Japan but also around the world, and his works continue to influence many artists to this day.
He was responsible for the "Let's go to Hawaii" campaign advertisement in 1961, and has a deep connection with Hawaii, and Sun Surf has produced original aloha shirts for Keoni of Hawaii in the past.
The response to the campaign was unrelenting, and the company continued to search for new ways to expand its business. Then, in 2024, after about 10 years of preparation, the company decided to launch a new product. After about 10 years of preparation, the new lineup was decided. Mookie Sato, the only artist in the world with official permission to modify Ryohei Yanagihara's designs, took over the worldview he had created and drew the designs. Mookie Sato is one of Ryohei Yanagihara's influences and is a passionate fan of his work. Mookie has been deeply involved in Sunsurf's projects for some time, and with Sunsurf's knowledge of Aloha shirts and Mookie's knowledge of Ryohei Yanagihara's designs, a new world of Uncle Tris and Ryohei Yanagihara will begin.
